On the occasion of the inauguration of the University; the Revered Founder Chancellor, Bhagawan Baba, pronounced:

“This University has been established not merely to prepare you for earning degrees.The main purpose is to cultivate self-knowledge and self-realisation.  Teaching the curricula, preparing you for the examinations and awarding degrees are only the means employed for the end, namely spiritual upliftment, self discovery and social service through love and detachment.”
