DESCRIPTION:Dr. K. Kasturirangan\, Chancellor\, Central University of Rajasthan\, is an Astrophysicist with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for over a period of nearly 35 years including nearly 10 years as its Chairman from 1994-2003. He worked on the design and development of early satellite systems of ISRO and played a key role in shaping India’s remote sensing satellite capabilities. SUMMARY:Inaugural Ceremony of World Space Week 2022 at SSSIHL\, Prasanthi Nilayam
DESCRIPTION:Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in association with Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR\, Sriharikota\, ISRO\, Department of Space\, Government of India\, is excited to celebrate the “World Space Week 2022” from 5th-7th October 2022 at the Sri Sathya Sai International Centre for Sports\, Prasanthi Nilayam. The theme for this year is ‘Space and Sustainability’. \nThe celebrations will be kicked off with a Space Walk on 4 October 2022\, a walkathon by school students through the main town of Puttaparthi to create awareness about space science and our space programs with society. The Spacewalk will be flagged off by Sri Rahul Dev Singh\, IPS\, Superintendent of Police\, Puttaparthi. \nHon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh Shri Biswabhushan Harichandan will be the Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony to be held on 5th October 2022.
