SUMMARY:FABA Finishing School: Hands-on Training in Flow Cytometry and Its Applications
DESCRIPTION:26 November – 5 December 2026 | Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning\, Prasanthi Nilayam Campus\, Puttaparthi\n\nThe Department of Biosciences\, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL)\, in collaboration with the Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA) and in association with Thermo Fisher Scientific\, is organising a 10-day intensive hands-on training program in flow cytometry from 26 November to 5 December 2026. \nDesigned for students\, PhD scholars and industry professionals in the life sciences\, biotechnology\, pharmacy and related fields\, the program covers instrument operation and quality control\, sample preparation\, staining and gating\, fluorochromes and compensation\, multicolour panel design\, apoptosis\, ROS and mitochondrial membrane potential assays\, intracellular staining\, cell cycle analysis\, and independent data analysis. Participants will work in small teams on Thermo Fisher Scientific flow cytometers under expert trainers\, gaining practical\, industry-ready skills. The program also includes talks by industry experts and a session on soft skills\, and participants will receive a certificate issued jointly by SSSIHL and FABA. \nSeats are limited to 16 external participants\, selected through a test on 10 November 2026.
