M Suryanarayan Murthy is a Sitar player who is a disciple of Late Pandit Deepak Choudhury (disciple of Pandit Ravishankar), from Maihar Gharana.
He completed his Post-Diploma course in Hindustani Sitar from Sathya Sai Mirpuri College of Music, SSSIHL in 2008. He went on to pursue his master’s degree in Sitar from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya (IKSVV), Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh in 2014 and secured three Gold Medals. He joined Sathya Sai Mirpuri college of Music, SSSIHL as an Asst. Teacher in Sitar in 2008 and is currently Assistant Lecturer at the Dept. of Music, SSSIHL.
