The Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL), Brindavan Campus, hosted Smaran Alumni Homecoming 2026 on March 15, welcoming over 400 alumni for a day of nostalgia, reflection, and renewed commitment.
The day began in the early hours, with 80+ alumni reliving their student routine through Suprabhatam, morning prayers, and the cherished tradition of Ragi Malt. Jogging and games on the campus grounds rekindled the spirit of camaraderie, followed by a shared breakfast in the quadrangle.
The formal session featured a welcome address by Prof. N. Sivakumar (Dean), who reflected on the spirit of belonging; an inaugural address by Prof. B. Raghavendra Prasad (Vice Chancellor), who highlighted the responsibility of being Bhagawan’s students; and a keynote address by Sri R.J. Rathnakar (Managing Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust), who emphasized the importance of alumni mentorship and giving back.
Interactive breakout sessions brought together alumni and faculty to discuss student mentoring, academic innovation, and industry readiness. Key ideas included structured mentorship models, inspirational case studies, industry-aligned curricula, and alumni-led workshops in emerging domains such as Gen AI and data analytics.
The afternoon session reflected on the institute’s evolution through a “Triple Engine Framework” of values, rigor, and Industry connect, highlighting initiatives such as NEP-aligned programs, internships, and research collaborations. A deeply moving documentary and a musical offering by alumni added an emotional and spiritual dimension to the gathering.
The event concluded with Trayee Darshan at Brindavan, as alumni carried home cherished memories and a renewed sense of purpose and connection to their alma mater.
