The Department of Management and Commerce, SSSIHL, is organizing a five-day online Faculty Development Programme titled “Applied Statistical Data Analysis Using SPSS for Social Sciences/Business Research: From Basics to Advanced Inferential Techniques” from 8th to 12th September 2025, daily from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

This FDP is designed to enhance the research capabilities of faculty, research scholars, and industry professionals. The programme will cover key topics including:

• – Hypothesis Testing and Framing Hypothesis
• – Inferential Statistics using SPSS
• – Survey data cleaning in Excel & SPSS
• – Navigating the Publication Landscape
• – Scale consistency or Reliability Analysis (Cronbach Alpha) and dimensionality assessment (Factor Analysis)

Key Outcomes: Participants will gain insights into managing and preparing data for analysis, Formulate and Test hypothesis, conduct essential inferential statistics (including z-test, t-test, ANOVA, Regression, Cronbach alpha & factor analysis) and Apply skills to real-life problems.

Resource Person: Dr. Raja Sankaran, (PhD IIM-Ranchi), Associate Professor, SSSIHL, with over 35 years of academic and industry experience, and publications in reputed ABDC journals.
