Prof. N. Srividya, Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences, represented Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) at the 10th International Diabetes Summit (CDI-IDS 2026), organized by Chellaram Diabetes Institute, held from 13–15 March 2026 at JW Marriott Pune. The summit brought together leading national and international experts, offering a vibrant platform for academic exchange and dissemination of recent advances in diabetology and metabolic research.
As part of the Clinical Science category, Prof. Srividya delivered an oral research presentation titled “Lowered postprandial glycemic and insulinemic responses to a pigmented rice-based health mix-incorporated meal in obese women: a controlled crossover study.” The presentation, co-authored by Ms. Sai Sruthi Shree, Ms. Mounika Pandey, and Ms. Manogna Pathri, was well received and led to engaging discussions with an expert panel and fellow researchers.
In recognition of the significance and quality of the research, Prof. Srividya was conferred a Special Recognition Award in the Clinical Science category. This accolade underscores the relevance of their work to contemporary clinical practice and its contribution to advancing nutritional and metabolic research.
The conference featured a comprehensive scientific programme covering key areas such as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), advances in diabetes pharmacotherapy, cardiometabolic risk management, obesity care, and the integration of technology in diabetes management, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based clinical practice and emerging trends in patient care.
