ROLE OVERVIEW

The Manager (CSR) is required to expertly champion SSSIHL’s non-commercial ‘Integral Education’ model by translating the socio-economic ROI of 100% tuition-free, high-quality education into compelling narratives. This involves aligning the institution’s focus on character building and national development with the specific philanthropic goals and CSR mandates of corporate stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • CSR Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive CSR strategy aligned with institutional vision. Identify funding opportunities and design impactful CSR projects in education, skill development, sustainability, healthcare, community development, and research.
  • Corporate Partnerships: Identify and approach corporate partners, foundations, and donor organizations for CSR collaborations. Prepare proposals, concept notes, and detailed project reports (DPRs). Build long-term partnerships with CSR heads and corporate foundations.
  • Project Execution & Monitoring: Oversee the implementation of CSR-funded projects. Ensure compliance with agreed deliverables, budgets, and timelines. Develop monitoring & evaluation frameworks with measurable KPIs. Prepare impact assessment reports and utilization certificates.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to CSR rules under the Companies Act and relevant regulatory guidelines. Maintain documentation, audit trails, and statutory reporting. Coordinate with finance and audit teams for fund utilization and reporting.
  • Communication & Reporting: Prepare periodic progress reports for donors and institutional leadership. Develop case studies and impact stories. Coordinate publicity of CSR initiatives through the website, media and annual reports.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration/M.B.A., Social Work (MSW), Development Studies or Public Policy.
  • Additional certifications in CSR management, Sustainability (ESG) or Non-Profit Leadership are preferred.
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in Corporate Social Responsibility, strategic institutional fundraising, or managing high-impact NGO-corporate partnerships.
  • Deep familiarity with the Indian developmental landscape and a comprehensive understanding of the Companies Act, 2013 (Section 135) and subsequent CSR amendments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the end-to-end grant process, from crafting persuasive, technical proposals to delivering rigorous donor impact reports and utilization certificates.
  • Ability to network with C-suite executives and CSR heads, building long-term, trust-based alliances that align with the Institute’s vision.
  • Proficient in budgetary preparation, financial compliance, and data-driven impact assessment to ensure transparency in fund utilization.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex academic research into compelling “social return on investment” stories for donors.
