Dr. Harshini V Annadata studies the relationship between local structure and function in advanced materials. Her doctoral research at the National University of Singapore examined energy-level alignment, molecular interfaces and charge transport in self-assembled molecular junctions using spectroscopic and computational methods.
She undertook postdoctoral research at BARC’s EXAFS Beamline at the Indus-2 Synchrotron, Indore, combining synchrotron X-ray spectroscopy with computational modelling. She subsequently served as Senior Project Associate in Computational Materials Modelling at CSIR-IICT.
She joined SSSIHL in 2026 and collaborates with researchers in academia and industry, while mentoring students in synchrotron techniques, data interpretation and research practices.
Areas of Teaching
Physical Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Materials Characterization, Spectroscopy, Molecular Modelling, Quantum Chemistry, Materials Chemistry
Research Interests
Structure–speciation–reactivity relationships in complex chemical systems
Dynamic speciation in liquids and at interfaces, including coordination chemistry and solvent effects in sustainable e-waste resource recovery
