Satya Sai Mudigonda is a Senior Tech Actuarial Consultant with over 33 years of experience consulting in actuarial and tech domains in the USA and India. Throughout his career, he has developed a diverse skill set and managed numerous multi-million-dollar international assignments for major insurance companies across the globe.
In addition to his industry work, he serves as Professor of Practice at SSSIHL. In this capacity, he has co-guided three PhDs and provided valuable instruction and mentorship to hundreds of students pursuing careers in the actuarial field.
Satya Sai is also a prolific researcher, boasting over 36 international journal research publications in the field of Actuarial Data Science. He has presented at many prestigious international conferences, focusing his research on areas such as Fraud Detection, Crop Insurance, Group Health Insurance, and other actuarial data science applications in the industry. Recently, he led two individual grant projects from SOA and CAS, successfully completing them for the publication of research papers.
In 2022, SSSIHL was recognized as one of the four universities worldwide to receive the CAS University Award for innovative and exemplary approaches to preparing actuarial students for a career in P&C. In 2023, SSSIHL achieved the Gold Level, the highest level of recognition by CAS, placing the university among the ranks of other top institutions globally. Additionally, SSSIHL obtained the SOA UCAP Advanced Curriculum for the actuarial program, making it the first and only university in India to receive all three recognitions. This underscores the excellence of the university’s program and Satya Sai’s significant contribution and leadership to its success.
