The Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning’s Center for Excellence in Mathematical Biology (CEMB) is dedicated to utilizing mathematical innovation for societal betterment, with a specific focus on providing cutting-edge solutions for public well-being. The center aims to leverage mathematical modeling and analysis to generate practical solutions that significantly impact society. CEMB is committed to translating scientific knowledge into tangible applications, striving to benefit humanity.
As part of its initial initiatives, CEMB has taken on the responsibility of conducting workshops to enhance the country’s capacity in Infectious Disease Modeling. In alignment with this commitment, the first formal activity after the establishment of the center was the organization of a workshop on Infectious Disease Modeling.
Under the leadership of Dr. D.K. K. Vamsi, Coordinator for CEMB, this workshop was specifically tailored for the faculty of the Department of Mathematics at the School of Chemical Engineering and Physical Sciences, Lovely Professional University (LPU).
