
National Workshop on “Driving Economic Growth: Policy Pathways and Industry Perspectives in India’s Automotive Sector”

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, will host a national workshop on 30 August 2025 at the Prasanthi Nilayam Campus. The workshop will convene policymakers, industry leaders, academicians, and researchers to examine key drivers of India’s automotive growth—including the transition to electric mobility, supply-chain resilience, digital transformation, safety standards, environmental sustainability, and skill development.
The programme will feature insights from Sri Sandeep Raina (Maruti Suzuki), Dr Rumki Majumdar (Macroeconomist), Sri Hemal N. Thakkar (CRISIL), Sri Yerra Sriranganatha Raju (Sanathana Analytics), Lt. Col. Vivek Pahwa (Indian Army), Sri Aruni Kumar Mahapatra (Battery IQ Climatech & Aktivolt CelTek), Sri Krishnam (VE Commercial Vehicles), and Sri Preet Ranjan (TVS Motor Company), alongside student presentations.
Outcomes will aim to strengthen policy advocacy, capacity building, and industry–academia partnerships, shaping the future of mobility and enhancing India’s global competitiveness in the automotive sector.
