Dr. A S Vishwanathan obtained his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biosciences and M.Sc. in Biosciences (Specialization in Biotechnology) from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. He then pursued his M.Phil. in Biosciences specializing in the area of Fungal Biodiversity.
His doctoral research at SSSIHL was in the area of Microbial Fuel Cells, and he was awarded his Ph.D. degree in the year 2017.
