KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

TEACHING & ACADEMIC LEADERSHIP

  • Teach courses such as Database Management Systems, Object-Oriented Programming Concepts, Computer Organization and Design, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, etc.
  • Handle lab courses such as C++, Java, Python, Web Programming, Linux System Programming, etc.
  • Active participation in curriculum design aligned with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles.
  • Integrate modern pedagogical approaches, including experiential learning and digital tools.
  • Enable experiential learning

RESEARCH & INNOVATION

  • Conduct high-impact research aligned with SSSIHL’s research focus on Health, Energy and Environment in any of the following thrust areas: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Computer Networking & Communications and Cyber Security
  • Research publications in high-impact factor, reputed international journals
  • Collaborate with industry and academic institutions to strengthen research initiatives and foster innovation
  • Seek and secure funded projects to support research and technological development

INSTITUTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & STUDENT ENGAGEMENT

  • Participation in curricular and co-curricular activities
  • Enable experiential learning
  • Mentor students in academic and career development, including research guidance
  • Support student engagement in competitive exams, innovation challenges, and extracurricular activities
  • Actively participate in departmental and institutional committees, contributing to academic and administrative work
  • Contribute towards NAAC-related data collection and editing

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, specializing in any of the following thrust areas: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Computer Networking and Communications, Cyber Security or Cloud Computing
  • Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech. in Computer Science or M.C.A.) with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Mathematics / Electronics / Allied Fields
  • Must have cleared UGC NET/CSIR NET/SLET/SET (unless exempted as per UGC regulations for Ph.D. holders).
  • Good academic performance in relevant fields from a recognized University/Institute. Master’s degree with at least 55% (50% in case of SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PWD).
  • Research-oriented mindset with a focus on academic excellence.
  • Research publications in high-impact factor, reputed international journals.
  • Ability to integrate modern learning tools and research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in English and the ability to mentor students effectively.
  • Commitment to SSSIHL’s code of conduct and values-based integral education system.
