KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

TEACHING & ACADEMIC LEADERSHIP

  • Specialized Accounting Reporting Standards (IFRS & Ind AS).
  • Expected skill to handle undergraduate courses that blend with professional CA/ACCA level training and postgraduate courses such as Accountancy, Quantitative techniques, Taxation, Costing, Business Statistics, Auditing and General Management.
  • Employ analytics tools to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Deliver conceptually strong, application-oriented finance, accounting, and quantitative technique courses.
  • Integrate software tools like Excel/R/Python in teaching.
  • Assist in course design, focusing on analytics.
  • Attend workshops, FDPs, and conferences in finance, analytics, and teaching pedagogy.
  • Support initiatives that promote ethical and inclusive finance practices.
  • Enable experiential learning.

RESEARCH & INNOVATION

  • Produce high-quality research on topics related to General Management, sustainability reporting, corporate governance, and ethical, data-driven decision-making.
  • Contribute to the department’s research and publication goals.
  • Publish in high-impact factor, reputed international journals.
  • Collaborate with industry and academic institutions to strengthen research initiatives and foster innovation.
  • Seek and secure funded projects to support research and development.

INSTITUTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & STUDENT ENGAGEMENT

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Ph.D. in Management / Commerce, specializing in any of the following thrust areas: Accounting or Finance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in B.Com. / B.Tech. and a Master’s degree in Business Administration / PGDM / C.A. / ICWA / M.Com., with First Class or equivalent.
  • Two years of professional experience after the Master’s degree.
  • Must have cleared UGC NET/CSIR NET/SLET/SET (unless exempted as per UGC regulations for Ph.D. holders).
  • Good academic performance in relevant fields from a recognized University/Institute. Master’s degree with at least 55% (50% in case of SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PWD).
  • Research-oriented mindset with a focus on academic excellence.
  • Research publications in high-impact factor, reputed international journals.
  • Ability to integrate modern learning tools and research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in English and the ability to mentor students effectively.
  • Commitment to SSSIHL’s code of conduct and values-based integral education system.
