The S.A.I.cling 4 S.A.I. expedition, a unique initiative of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) promoting Sustainability (S), Awareness (A), and Inclusivity (I), culminated today (13 Nov. 25) in a grand and spiritually uplifting ceremony at Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium, Prasanthi Nilayam.
Flagged off on 12 November 2025 from the Brindavan Campus, Bengaluru, by Prof. B. Raghavendra Prasad, Honourable Vice-Chancellor, SSSIHL, the expedition witnessed 150 cyclists — comprising students, alumni, and staff — traverse 161 km via SSSIHL’s Nandigiri Campus to reach Prasanthi Nilayam on the evening of 13 November.
The concluding ceremony was marked by an atmosphere of joy, reverence, and unity. The highlight of the evening was the formation of the number “100” by all cyclists — a symbolic tribute to the Centenary Year of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
The riders were felicitated with medals and certificates by Prof. B. Raghavendra Prasad, Vice-Chancellor, SSSIHL, Sri Sundar Swaminathan, Director, Sri Sathya Sai Media Centre, and Dr. Anil Kumar Mulpur, Joint Director, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Prasanthi Nilayam, in recognition of their discipline, dedication, and spirit of service.
The event was graced by Dr. Srikanth Khanna, Registrar, SSSIHL along with the Directors of SSSIHL campuses, Deans, Wardens, Faculty Members, and students.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. B. Raghavendra Prasad shared, “S.A.I.cling 4 S.A.I. is more than an expedition — it is a living expression of Bhagawan’s vision of education that transforms learning into living, knowledge into action, and devotion into service. Each pedal turned was an offering of love and awareness for a better planet.”
Beyond Cycling: A Commitment to the Planet
As part of the expedition, the participants actively engaged in tree plantation drives, planting 100 trees enroute, and undertook a plogging and waste management initiative to collect and responsibly manage around 100 kilograms of waste, reinforcing the Institute’s commitment to a cleaner and greener planet.
S.A.I.cling 4 S.A.I. stands as a shining example of how Bhagawan’s students continue to walk in His footsteps — transforming values into action, and devotion into service.
