We are pleased to share that Ms. Darpan Sharma (I B.Ed.), from the Department of Education, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL), Anantapur Campus, secured Third Place in the 6th National Level Teaching Skill Competition, organized by the Department of B.Sc. B.Ed. Programme, Centre of Education, Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE), Gandhinagar, on 27 September 2025.
The Preliminary Round of the competition was conducted online earlier in September 2025, where participants showcased their teaching skills through video submissions. From among numerous entries received from across the country, 19 participants were shortlisted for the Final Round, held offline at the IITE campus in Gandhinagar.
Among these finalists were two B.Ed. students from SSSIHL—Ms. Aastha Priya (II B.Ed.) and Ms. Darpan Sharma (I B.Ed.)—who represented the Institute at this prestigious event. In the final round, participants were assigned a micro-teaching skill on the spot by the judging panel, different from the one presented in the preliminary round, testing their adaptability, creativity, and pedagogical expertise.
The distinguished panel of judges included eminent academicians from the Central University of Karnataka, University of Kashmir, and Central University of Rajasthan.
Ms. Darpan Sharma’s achievement at this national platform is a reflection of her dedication, innovative teaching approach, and professional competence. It also exemplifies the Department of Education’s commitment to fostering pedagogical excellence, in line with the Institute’s vision of Values-based Integral Education.
