An alumna of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL), Dr. Sowmya Srinivasan was awarded the Gold Medal for both her B.A. (2003) and M.A. (2005) in English Language & Literature. She completed her M.Phil. in English from Alagappa University in 2008 and earned her Ph.D. in English Literature/Anglo-Arab Literature from SRM Institute of Science and Technology in 2018.
Dr. Sowmya has extensive experience in teaching, research, curriculum development, career guidance, and academic administration. She has served in various academic and leadership roles at SRM Institute of Science and Technology and SRM University, Sikkim, including Head of Career Guidance, Assistant Professor, Ph.D. Supervisor, Programme Coordinator, and Syllabus Coordinator.
She joined SSSIHL in December 2022. She has published several research papers in national and international journals and has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences and seminars.
Currently, Dr. Sowmya serves as the Dean of Student Welfare, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning.
