Dr. Sripada Lakshminath works in the area of Organic Synthesis. He graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry in 1994, followed by an M.Sc. in Chemistry in 1996, both from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL). He earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, under the guidance of Prof. Goverdhan Mehta, focusing on the use of the Norbornyl building block for the synthesis of natural products and their analogues.
He pursued postdoctoral research at North Carolina State University, where he worked on the synthesis of combinatorial libraries using microwave-assisted cyclotrimerization reactions, both on solid support and in solution. Upon returning to India, he joined the pharmaceutical industry and gained over 15 years of research experience in Organic Synthesis and Analytical Chemistry, serving in various capacities at leading Contract Research Organizations in Hyderabad.
Dr. Sripada Lakshminath currently serves as the Head of the Department of Chemistry and as the Co-Convener of the Central Research Instruments Facility (CRIF) at SSSIHL, Prasanthi Nilayam.
