Reimagining Ancient Wisdom for a Changing World
In a world grappling with rapid technological change, environmental crises, and deepening psychosocial challenges, there is an urgent call to revisit timeless knowledge traditions for guidance. The International Conference on Bhāratīya Thought for Modern Times seeks to bring Bharatiya (Indian) wisdom to the forefront of contemporary discourse.
Hosted by the Centre for Sri Sathya Sai Studies at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, this interdisciplinary forum will explore how ancient Indic knowledge systems—rooted in disciplines such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Dharma Śāstra, Vedic ecology, Rasa Śāstra, and classical sciences—can offer sustainable, ethical, and holistic solutions to modern-day challenges.
The conference aims to foster meaningful dialogue between tradition and modernity, reframing Bhāratīya thought not as static heritage but as a dynamic, living framework deeply relevant to today’s global society.
Conference Themes
The event will engage scholars, educators, students, and practitioners across the fields of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), policy, health, design, governance, and science through the following thematic tracks:
