ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, specializing in any of the following thrust areas: i) Artificial Intelligence ii) Machine Learning and Data Science iii) Deep Learning iv) Computer Vision v) Internet of things vi) Cyber Security Vii) Blockchain Technology
- Master’s degree in MSc/M.Tech. in Computer Science or MCA with a Bachelor’s degree in in Computer Science / Information Technology / Mathematics /Electronics / Allied Fields.
- Must have cleared UGC NET/CSIR NET/SLET/SET (unless exempted as per UGC regulations for Ph.D. holders).
- Good academic performance in relevant fields from a recognized University/Institute
- Experience in High Performance Computing is desirable
- Research-oriented mindset with a focus on academic excellence.
- Ability to integrate modern learning tools and research methodologies
- Proficiency in English and ability to mentor students effectively
- Commitment to SSSIHL’s code of conduct and values-based integral education system
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching and Academic Leadership
- Teach courses such as Database Management Systems, Object-Oriented Programming Concepts, Computer Organization and Design, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science, Deep Learning, etc.
- Handle software lab courses such as Java, C++, Python, Web Programming, Linux System Programming, etc.
- Active participation in curriculum design aligned with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles.
- Integrate modern pedagogical approaches, including experiential learning and digital tools.
- Enable experiential learning
Research and Innovation
- Conduct high-impact research in any of the following thrust areas, aligning with institutional focus areas such as Health, Energy, and Environment: i) Artificial Intelligence ii) Machine Learning iii) Deep Learning iv) Cloud Computing, v) Databases, and vi) Scientific Computations
- Publish in reputed peer-reviewed journals and present research findings at national and international conferences.
- Collaborate with industry and academic institutions to strengthen research initiatives and foster innovation.
- Seek and secure funded projects to support research and technological development.
Student Engagement and Mentorship
- Participation in curricular, co-curricular activities
- Mentor students in academic and career development, including research guidance.
- Actively contribute to departmental initiatives, including conferences, seminars, competitions, and research collaborations.
- Support institutional committees by contributing to academic, administrative, and outreach activities.
- Participate in NAAC-related data collection activities.
