ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A Ph.D. in Kannada
- Must have cleared UGC NET/CSIR NET/SLET/SET
- Must hold a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Kannada
- Good academic performance in relevant fields from a recognized University/Institute
- Candidates with teaching experience at the University level will be preferred
- Must have a proven track record of high-quality research and publications in peer-reviewed (UGC-CARE preferred) journals
- Excellent Kannada communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in English is necessary to communicate with students effectively
- Candidates with active involvement in writing research projects and experience in Research Supervision (PG dissertations & Doctoral thesis) will be preferred
- Commitment to SSSIHL’s code of conduct and values-based integral education system
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching and Academic Leadership
Teach Kannada as a second language and also offer value-added and minor courses as required
Actively participate in department events, including organizing conferences, workshops, and collaborations.
Enable experiential learning
Research and Innovation
Supervising doctoral scholars in his area of specialization
An active researcher, engaged in ongoing research, contributing to research publications, and developing and writing research projects
Student Engagement and Mentorship
Participation in curricular, co-curricular activities
Student Mentorship
Guidance for student projects
