ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Ph.D. in Physics (Preferred area: Lasers, Fiber Optics, Optics & Photonics)
- Master’s degree in Physics (Specialization in Photonics preferable)
- Good academic performance in relevant fields from a recognized University/Institute
- Must have cleared UGC NET/CSIR NET/SLET/SET
- Proficiency in English and ability to mentor students effectively
- Commitment to SSSIHL’s code of conduct and values-based integral education system
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching and Academic Leadership
- Undergraduate-level fundamental Physics courses and Physics laboratory courses
- Postgraduate level courses in Fiber Optics, Nonlinear Optics, Ultrafast Optics, Semiconductor device physics & Technology / Embedded systems
- Tech. level courses like Optical Communications, Optical Networks, Optoelectronics, and Signal processing
- Knowledge of Programming (C / C++ / Python), automation, and basic electronics
- Enable experiential learning
Research and Innovation
- Research focus in Photonics, Nonlinear Optics, Ultrafast Fiber Lasers, Laser Spectroscopy
- Use of Data analytics and AI in physics research – in areas like (but not limited to) Optical Communications, Photonics
Student Engagement and Mentorship
- Participation in curricular, co-curricular activities
- Student Mentorship
- Guidance for student projects
